Question 1

What is Corridoor, in one sentence?

Accepted Answer

Corridoor helps you choose the right AI training platforms, get approved on them and keep finding paid projects, using independent reliability data and a feed of live projects reported and checked by members. We are not a platform and not an employer: you work for the platforms directly, and they pay you directly.

Question 2

Is it free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the self-serve product is free and always will be: the platform directory, matching, the live project feed, every guide and the scout programme. You only pay anything if you choose hands-on guided support, and even then nothing is paid up front: you keep 70–85% of what you earn on platforms we set you up on, for 90 days, and our share is capped at $150 a month. Most members never use guided support.

Question 3

Do I need experience with AI or technology?

Accepted Answer

No. Most entry-level tasks ask you to read instructions carefully and judge or write text, not to build anything. You need to be comfortable using a browser, reading long English guidelines and working carefully without supervision. The best-paid projects do need specific skills — for example coding, a science degree or professional work in law, medicine or finance — and the matcher tells you which ones realistically fit you.

Question 4

Do I need a CV or a degree?

Accepted Answer

Not for Corridoor, and not for most general tasks. Some platforms (for example Mercor and other expert-focused ones) screen on your CV and credentials, and some projects are only open to degree holders in a named subject. Each platform page says what it asks for, so you do not waste time applying to ones that will reject you.

Question 5

How long until I earn my first money?

Accepted Answer

Expect one to three weeks, and sometimes longer. The slow part is platform approval, which we do not control: it can take a few days or several weeks depending on the platform, your country and how many people are applying. After approval, payouts usually take a few more days. Each platform page shows the typical approval time and payment speed reported by members.

Question 6

What equipment do I need?

Accepted Answer

A laptop or desktop computer and a stable internet connection. A phone alone is enough for very few platforms, and most assessments are hard to pass on a phone. Audio projects need a quiet room and a basic headset microphone. You never need to buy software, a course or equipment from us — we do not sell any.

Question 7

How many hours a week do I need?

Accepted Answer

There is no minimum with us, and most platforms have none either. The real limit is how much work is available: on many platforms it goes up and down from week to week, so a realistic plan is 5–20 hours a week spread across two or three platforms, rather than full-time on one.

Question 8

Which platform should I start with?

Accepted Answer

The one that fits your skills, languages and country — which is different for different people, so the matcher asks you a few short questions and ranks platforms for you. As a general rule, beginners do best starting with one platform that accepts beginners and one with steady, smaller tasks, then adding more once the first is paying.

Question 9

How does the matching work?

Accepted Answer

The matcher scores each platform on how well your skills, experience level, country, languages and available hours fit what that platform needs, and shows you the reasons for each score. It does not use anything commercial: whether we have a referral arrangement with a platform has zero weight in your matches.

Question 10

What is the reliability score?

Accepted Answer

It is a 0–100 score built from four things members report: how fast a platform pays (35%), how often work is available (30%), how fairly work is reviewed (20%) and how fast support replies (15%). The exact formula is published on the Transparency page. Scores built from fewer than 75 member reports are marked provisional.

Question 11

Can a platform pay to rank higher?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no paid placement, no sponsored listing and no way to pay for a better score or more matches. Platforms with which we have a referral arrangement are labelled 'Referral disclosed', and that arrangement has no input into any ranking or score.

Question 12

Should I sign up for more than one platform?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Work on any single platform can pause without warning when a project ends, and this is the most common reason people's income suddenly stops. Two or three platforms that suit you is safer than one. Do not sign up for ten at once, though: each one needs time to learn, and poor early quality can close doors.

Question 13

The platform rejected me. What now?

Accepted Answer

Most platforms do not explain rejections, and many let you reapply after a waiting period that the platform sets. Use the time to apply to other platforms that fit you. If you were on guided support, your coach will review what happened with you. Being rejected once is very common and does not mean you are unsuited to the work.

Question 14

Where do the projects in the feed come from?

Accepted Answer

From members. A scout who can see a project on their own platform dashboard reports its name, pay, eligibility and how to reach it, with a screenshot. Other members confirm it with their own screenshots, and our team reviews them. We do not copy listings from other sites and we never publish confidential task content.

Question 15

What do Verified, Confirming and Unverified mean?

Accepted Answer

Unverified means one scout has reported it — treat it as a lead, not a fact. Confirming means at least one other member has confirmed it and our team is reviewing it. Verified means three or more independent members confirmed it with screenshots and a Corridoor reviewer checked them. Every project card shows its status and when it was last checked.

Question 16

Why can't I see a project that the feed shows?

Accepted Answer

Most projects are only offered to some contributors — for example by country, language, skill test results or past quality. A project being real and open does not mean it will appear on your dashboard. Each card lists the eligibility that scouts reported, but platforms do not always publish all of their criteria.

Question 17

The pay or status in the feed is wrong. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Tell us through the data correction option on the Contact page. Pay rates and queues change often, and member reports are how we keep up. Verified status updates also earn a small scout bonus.

Question 18

What is a scout?

Accepted Answer

Any member who reports a project they can see on their own account. There is no application: if your report passes verification, you earn a bonus. Regular, accurate scouts move up to Senior and Lead tiers, which raise the bonus amounts.

Question 19

How much do scout bonuses pay?

Accepted Answer

A new project report pays $8 when it reaches Verified. There are extra bonuses of $12 for being first to report it, $15 for projects paying $40/hr or more and $5 for underserved languages or countries. Confirming someone else's report pays $1.5 (up to 20 a month). These are proposed amounts and are shown in full on the Scouts page.

Question 20

Where does the money for scout bonuses come from?

Accepted Answer

12% of all Corridoor revenue goes into the scout bonus pool. Our revenue comes only from the support share and disclosed referral fees, both explained on the Transparency page.

Question 21

Is reporting a project allowed by the platforms?

Accepted Answer

Sharing the name of a project, its pay and who can join it is generally treated as public information. Sharing the tasks themselves, the guidelines or any customer data is not, and most platforms forbid it. That is why we only accept the basic facts and a cropped screenshot, never task content. If you are unsure whether something is confidential, leave it out.

Question 22

What happens if my report is wrong?

Accepted Answer

Honest mistakes cost you nothing — the report simply does not get verified. Deliberately false or copied reports lead to one warning and then removal from the scout programme. We check screenshots against each other, so invented reports are usually caught quickly.

Question 23

How does Corridoor make money?

Accepted Answer

From two sources only. First, the support share from members who choose guided help. Second, referral bonuses that some platforms pay us when someone joins through our link — paid by the platform on top, never taken from your pay, and disclosed on every platform it applies to. We publish how the money is split and spent on the Transparency page.

Question 24

What exactly is the support share?

Accepted Answer

If you choose guided support, we help you get approved and through your first paid work on a platform, and in return you share part of what you earn there for a limited time. There are three levels: Setup review (you keep 85%), Guided start (you keep 80%), Intensive (you keep 70%). It lasts 90 days from your first paid task on that platform and is never more than $150 in any calendar month.

Question 25

Can you show me an example?

Accepted Answer

Say you are on Guided start (you keep 80%) and earn $600 in a month on a platform we set you up on. The share is 20% of $600, which is $120, so you keep $480. If you earned $1,500 in a month, 20% would be $300, but the cap means you pay only $150. The Transparency page has a calculator where you can try your own numbers.

Question 26

When does the support share NOT apply?

Accepted Answer

It never applies to platforms you joined on your own, to platforms you found through our free directory or feed without guided help, to anything you earn after the 90-day period, or to scout bonuses. If you do not earn, you owe nothing.

Question 27

Do you take the money from my platform account?

Accepted Answer

No. Platforms pay you directly, into your own account. At the end of each month in your support period, you share your earnings statement and we send you an invoice for the agreed share. We never have your platform password, never access your payout account and never receive your pay first.

Question 28

Are there any upfront or hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no joining fee, training fee, deposit, equipment charge, 'activation' fee or subscription. The support share is the only thing that can ever cost a member money, and only if you choose guided support and sign the one-page agreement first. If anyone asks you to pay to join Corridoor, it is a scam.

Question 29

Can I stop guided support?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time, by telling your coach or emailing support@corridoor.org. The share stops from the date you stop. You can also move to a lower level, which lowers the share from that date.

Question 30

Are these terms final?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. The percentages, period and cap shown on this site are our proposed terms and are being reviewed by lawyers. The binding version is the written agreement you sign before guided work starts, and we will not start guided work without it.

Question 31

How and when do platforms pay?

Accepted Answer

Each platform pays you directly, usually weekly or every two weeks, through methods such as PayPal, Payoneer, Wise, AirTM or bank transfer. Which methods are available depends on the platform and your country, and each platform page lists them along with the typical number of days until money actually arrives.

Question 32

How much will I realistically earn?

Accepted Answer

Most people earn a modest side income, not a salary. Real earnings depend on four things: the pay rate of the projects you qualify for, how much work is available that week, your quality scores, and your hours. Each platform page shows a 'typical pay' range for members in their first months, which is lower than the advertised maximum on purpose. We never guarantee earnings.

Question 33

Why do rates differ between countries?

Accepted Answer

Many platforms set different pay rates for different countries, often based on local cost of living, and some projects are only open to certain countries. This is the platform's decision, not ours. The feed shows the rates scouts reported and which countries they apply to.

Question 34

Do I have to pay tax on this income?

Accepted Answer

Almost certainly, yes. You work as an independent contractor, not an employee, so no tax is taken out for you and you are responsible for declaring the income where you live. Platforms often ask for a tax form during signup (for example a W-9 in the US or a W-8BEN if you are outside the US). We cannot give tax advice; please check your own country's rules or ask a local adviser.

Question 35

Which countries can I work from?

Accepted Answer

It is decided by each platform, not by Corridoor. Some platforms are open in most countries, others only in a list of countries, and many expert projects are limited to the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Every platform page shows its country rules, and the matcher only recommends platforms open where you live.

Question 36

Can I use a VPN or say I live somewhere else?

Accepted Answer

No, never. Platforms check location, identity and payout details, and misrepresenting your country is the fastest way to be permanently banned and lose unpaid earnings. We will not help anyone do it, and we remove members who do.

Question 37

Do I need to speak perfect English?

Accepted Answer

You need to read long, detailed English instructions accurately; most tasks need good written English too. You do not need to be a native speaker. Fluency in another language is an advantage: many projects look specifically for speakers of languages other than English, and some pay more.

Question 38

Is there a minimum age?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You must be 18 or older. Every platform we list requires it, and so do we.

Question 39

Can students do this work?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you are 18 or older. Some platforms specifically look for students in certain subjects. If you are studying on a visa, check whether your visa allows freelance or contract income before you start — this varies a lot by country.

Question 40

Why do people lose their accounts?

Accepted Answer

The most common reasons are: using AI tools to write answers when the project forbids it, rushing tasks and failing quality reviews, sharing or selling accounts, and misrepresenting location or identity. All are avoidable. Our quality handbook covers each one in detail.

Question 41

Can I use ChatGPT or other AI tools while working?

Accepted Answer

Only if the project's instructions explicitly say you may. Most AI training projects forbid it, because the point is to collect human judgement. Platforms detect it, and it is one of the main reasons accounts are removed. When in doubt, do not.

Question 42

Can someone else work on my account, or can I share one?

Accepted Answer

No. Every platform forbids account sharing, and we never operate accounts on anyone's behalf or ask for your password. If someone offers to 'rent' or sell you an account, or asks to use yours, refuse: it will get the account banned and can put your identity at risk.

Question 43

How do I keep a good quality score?

Accepted Answer

Read the full guidelines before your first task, not during it; go slower than you think you need to in the first week; and check each answer against the rubric before submitting. Quality matters more than volume: a few careful tasks keep doors open, while many rushed tasks close them.

Question 44

What do you do with my information?

Accepted Answer

We use your profile answers to match you with platforms and, if you ask for guided support, to help you apply. We do not sell or rent your data, and we only share your details with a platform when you ask us to help you apply there. The Privacy page has the full details.

Question 45

Where are my saved projects stored?

Accepted Answer

In your own browser (local storage) on your device. We do not receive that list. If you clear your browser data or change device, your saved projects will not follow you.

Question 46

Can I delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Email hello@corridoor.org from the address you signed up with and we will delete your account and profile. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices, and we will tell you what that is.

Question 47

Is Corridoor a scam?

Accepted Answer

We understand why you ask — this industry has many. Here is what you can check: we never ask for money up front, we never ask for your passwords, we publish exactly how we make money and how every score is calculated, and the platforms we list are independent companies you can research yourself. You can also sign up to any platform directly, without us.

Question 48

How do I recognise a fake Corridoor recruiter?

Accepted Answer

Real Corridoor emails come only from addresses ending in @corridoor.org. Anyone claiming to be from Corridoor who asks you to pay a fee, buy equipment or a course, send your platform password, 'rent' an account, move to a chat app to be 'hired', or send ID documents over chat is not us. Forward the message to support@corridoor.org and we will confirm within 48 hours.

Question 49

Does Corridoor hire me or guarantee me a job?

Accepted Answer

No. We are not an employer or a staffing agency. Platforms decide who they accept and how much work they offer. We help you choose well, prepare well and find work faster, and we tell you honestly when we cannot help.

Question 50

Why are some numbers on this site marked 'Sample'?

Accepted Answer

Because this site is a preview build. Figures, project reports and scout activity are currently sample data that show how the real data will look, and every figure says so. We would rather show you that plainly than present made-up numbers as real. The 'About the data' section of the Transparency page explains each one.

Question 51

I think something on the site is wrong. Who do I tell?

Accepted Answer

Use the data correction option on the Contact page. We read every correction and fix what is wrong.
