1. Who we are
Corridoor (www.corridoor.org) helps people find and succeed on AI training platforms. Corridoor is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@corridoor.org or by post at STE 101, Sherman Oaks, CA.
2. What we collect
Account and profile
Your name and email address, and the answers you give in our forms: country, languages, skills, experience level and available hours. We use these to recommend platforms that fit you.
Guided support
If you choose guided support: which platforms we helped you with, notes from your sessions, your signed agreement, and the earnings statements you share with us at month end so we can calculate the support share. We never ask for, and never want, your platform passwords or access to your payout accounts.
Scout reports
Project details you report and the screenshots you upload. See section 6.
Messages
When you use the contact form or email us: your name, email address, the topic and your message. The contact form also records your IP address briefly to stop spam and abuse.
Usage data
If analytics is switched on, basic information about how the site is used. See section 7.
3. Stored on your device
Some things are kept only in your own browser's local storage, on your device: the projects you save, your light or dark theme choice and similar preferences. They are not sent to us. If you clear your browser data or use another device, they will not be there.
4. How we use it
- To match you with platforms and show you relevant projects.
- To provide guided support, if you ask for it, and to invoice the agreed support share.
- To verify scout reports and pay scout bonuses.
- To reply to your messages and keep you informed about your account.
- To calculate the reliability scores and other figures published on the site, using combined, de-identified member reports.
- To prevent fraud, spam and misuse of the site.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you for anyone else.
5. Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- With a platform, when you ask us to. For example, if you ask for help applying to a platform, we may share the details needed for that application. We tell you what we will share first.
- With service providers who run parts of the service for us, such as email and hosting, under contracts that limit them to that purpose.
- When the law requires it, or to protect members from fraud or harm.
Published figures, such as reliability scores, are built from many members' reports combined and never identify an individual member.
6. Scout reports and screenshots
Screenshots are used only to verify that a project exists and that its details are right. Before anything is published, we remove names, email addresses, worker IDs, profile photos and any confidential task content. We publish only the project's visible name, platform, pay, eligibility and how to reach it, together with your scout handle (not your real name) and tier. Please crop or blur your own details before uploading too.
7. Analytics and cookies
If Google Analytics is enabled on the site, it collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location, using cookies. We use it only to understand which pages help people and which do not. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with a browser extension, and the site will still work. We do not use advertising cookies.
8. How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: while your account is open, and deleted when you ask us to delete it.
- Scout screenshots: only as long as needed to verify and audit the report.
- Messages: as long as needed to deal with your question, and then deleted periodically.
- Signed agreements and invoices: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you close your account. We will tell you what we keep and why.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@corridoor.org from the address on your account, so we know the request is really from you. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law (for example the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, and limit access to personal information to the people who need it. No online service is perfectly secure. Please never send us passwords, full ID numbers or payout account details — we will never ask for them.
11. Where data is processed
Corridoor is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the US or other countries. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
12. Age
Corridoor is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and we delete it if we find out.
13. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we will tell members by email before it applies.
