Before you start

Alignerr focuses on subject-matter work — maths, science, coding, languages and other specialist areas. The process usually includes an AI screening interview and a subject test.

At the time of writing, members report weekly payouts by Wise or PayPal. Have your payout account ready before you are approved.

Step by step

Apply on the official website and choose the subject area where you are strongest. Complete the AI screening interview; it typically asks about your background and how you reason through problems in your field. Then take the subject test.

Answer in your own words. Be specific about your education and experience.

Your first tasks

Projects typically involve writing difficult questions, checking model reasoning step by step, or grading answers against a rubric. Read the rubric carefully — graders mark against it, not against general quality.

Show your reasoning. On reasoning projects, a correct answer with weak explanation often scores lower than expected.

Common reasons people fail

These come up most often in member reports.

Tips for beginners

If you are a student, choose the subject you study and say so honestly. Some projects want strong undergraduates; others need graduate degrees.

Tips for experienced contributors

PhD and professional-level projects pay considerably more. Make your highest qualification and research area obvious in your profile.

When writing hard problems for models, aim for questions with one clearly correct, checkable answer. Ambiguous questions are usually rejected.
